st. john's will provide a welcoming, informal meeting point for all park visitors with an emphasis on quality, affordable, healthy snacks & refreshments.
it will operate as a nonprofit community enterprise. any surplus will be reinvested into the park and community projects.
over time, the st. john’s team plan to work with the council and local park volunteers to explore and support potential improvements to the park, including the future of the derelict toilet block and the possibility of a permanent community facility.
the pop-up cafe provides an opportunity to establish a successful community venue while building a better understanding of what park users and volunteers need from the site's future facilities.
